You can update or reset your account spend limit at anytime.
When you update your spend limit, the amount you've already spent for that limit will be applied to your new spend limit. This means that if your original spend limit was $100 and you've already spent $50, if you change your spend limit to $200, you'll only be able to spend $150 more ($200-$50).
When you reset your account spend, the limit won't be changed, but it'll reset your amount spent towards this limit to $0.
To update your account spend limit:
- Go to Billing in your ads manager
- Click Manage under Total Account Spend
- Click Update Limit in the top right corner
- Enter the limit you'd like to use. Keep in mind that you won't be able to set a limit less than 10% above what you've already spent. So, if your current spend limit is $150, and you've spent $100, the minimum you can lower your account spend limit to is $110.
- Click Update Limit
To reset your spend:
- Go to Billing in your ads manager
- Click Manage under Total Account Spend
- Click Reset Spend in the top right corner
- Click Reset Spend
Keep in mind that the limit will take effect in 15 minutes. Any ads that start running before the account spend limit is in effect will be included in the current limit if there is one in place.
